Features of Hozen Enginerring
We investigate and diagnose a wide range of civil and architectural structures, employing every available technique.

We , Hozen Enginerring, are a construction consulting firm specializing in the maintenance and management of essential social infrastructure. We cover inspection, investigation, evaluation, diagnosis, and assessment of the need for repair and reinforcement, to ensure that critical infrastructure —such as roads, railways, ports, airports, water and sewage systems, electricity, and schools—remains sound.
We conduct inspections to assess the current condition of structures, evaluate their structural soundness, investigate to assess the deterioration, predict future deterioration, verify seismic performance, and consider repair and reinforcement strategies targeting civil engineering structures such as paved roads, tunnels, bridges, embankments, foundations, pumping stations, water treatment facilities, water intake facilities and architectural structures such as schools, community centers, hospitals, government offices, police stations, parks, public housing.
Japan’s present-day mature society is underpinned by diverse social infrastructure, mainly constructed during the era of rapid economic growth.
A growing number of structures have been in use for over 50 years, and in recent years, deterioration-related damage has led to several accidents.
Since updating these structures would entail enormous costs, the importance of properly maintaining and repairing existing structures—so that they can remain in use over the long term in a cost-effective manner—has become socially recognized.
One of our strengths lies in our image diagnosis technology utilizing digital cameras and infrared cameras.
By integrating UAVs and specialized measurement vehicles, it has become possible to conduct more advanced and efficient on-site inspections and surveys.
Of course, it remains essential for engineers to visit sites and make assessments with their own eyes. However, by utilizing the latest equipment and proprietary analysis software, we can obtain more advanced inspection and survey results, which are expected to enable more accurate assessments of structural integrity.
